Washington: North Cascades Mountains, Methow Valley area, North Lake and Cedar Creek Trail, leading from the end of the Twisp River Road, near former town of Gilbert. Elev. 1217 m

Under small boulders in shrubby talus slope; with Chimerion, Ceanothus velutina, Spiraea, dry Cystopteris, Paxistima, Lomatium, Heuchera, and scattered Pseudotsuga and Abies lasiocarpa. Common; Woodsia scopulina was common along this hike; we thought we had collected Woodsia oregana too, but looks like we were confused; sample silica-dried, from this clump.
