Weedy vacant lot strip along new road, with Trifolium hybridum, Rumex obtusifolius, Solanum dulcamara, Solanum nigrum, Phytolacca americana. Many plants in disturbed soil; fruit purplish black, somewhat shiny, 8-9 mm wide; petals white, some calyx lobes partially fused and unequal, somewhat irregularly reflexed, ripe fruit detaches at junction of pedicel and peduncle; one fruit with 55 seeds and 5 sclerotic granules, another with 29 seeds, 5 sclerotic granules.
