British Columbia: Okanagan, 2.7 km northwest of Osoyoos Lake, 50 m southeast of Highway 3 and 298 Avenue, south of Deadman Lake.
Wet depression next to dyke, south of Deadman Lake, with Phragmites australis, Rosa woodsii, Nepeta cataria, Cirsium arvense, Galium spurium. Single beautiful striking little tree, 3 m tall with 6 stems from base; abundant wine red samaras contrasting with lovely green unlobed leaves; spread naturally from planted population persisting from old Deadman Lake rest stop; abundant saplings noted at lake shore woods.
