Shady thicket, with Pinus ponderosa, Acer platanoides, Rosa woodsii. Presumably adventive, clonal shrub 0.5-1.5 m tall, pink flowers 23-26 mm diameter, petals 10-12 mm long, anthers orange, leaves folded in bud, pits 17-18 × 11 mm. Phenology: Flowers.
