Brushy fields, with Crataegus monogyna, Populus balsamifera, Rubus armeniacus. 3 meter tree, fruit yellow to deep yellow, mostly W > L, a few L > W, slightly angular, elliptic-globose to depressed globose, a few ovoid-globose, 19-23 x 18-25 mm wide; 5 carpels; seeds brown, 6 mm long; lobed leaves present but rare; usually calyx persists (rarely shed); rare wild plant in brushy fields. Phenology: Fruits.
