Adventive tree, buds red; petals pink, 18-22 x 9-13 mm wide; oblong-ovate, fade to white; flowers 35-45 mm diameter; anthers cream (dry yellow); filaments pink; sepals red-tipped and spreading to recurved; 4-5 styles; red hairy pedicels 32-49 mm long; rare wild plant in brushy fields, with Malus domestica, M. prunifolia, M. fusca, Crataegus monogyna, Populus balsamifera, Rubus armeniacus. Phenology: Flowers.
