Shrub-invaded wet prairie, with Rosa nutkana, Crataugus suksdorfii, C. monogyna, Rubus ursinus. Buds deep pink-red, flowers pink, 3 to 4 pink styles, petals 14-15 x 11 milimeters wide, nodding rotate white flowers, petals 12-16 milimeters long, hairy inside, sepals erect, red, pedicels red 18-22 milimeters long, anthers cream when dry, branches stiff, erect-ascending, 3 meters tall, adventive shrub.
