With Polystichum munitum, Pteridium, Rubus ursinus, dry ground, in shade of Acer macrophyllum. Bird-sown adventive shrub, 0.5 meters tall, leaves light green, thin, veins slightly impressed. Fertile cultivated material 150 m distant, see coll. # 15601. Phenology: Vegetative.
