Edge of riparian woodland, moist soil with introduced pasture grasses. Associated taxa: Quercus garryana, Schedonorus arundinaceus, Alopecurus pratensis, Camassia, Bellis perennis. Flowers blue-purple. Corms +/- globose, 1.5-3 cm diameter. Self-sowing from planter box into rough mown grass, spreading about 4 meters from box. Perhaps not truly naturalized - yet. Phenology: Flowers.
