Annotated by J. Maze, 5 Aug 1962. Remarks: Maze's suggestion that this plant is a hybrid between Achnatherum thurberianum and A. occidentale cannot be discounted. Another possibilty is that A. nelsonii is one of the parents, not A. occidentale. - Mary E. Barkworth, 2004.
