Dry rock sunny ground, with Rubus armeniacus, Cytisus scoparius, Hypericum perforatum. Cespitose, occasional escape from cultivation nearby, inflorescence greenish-white, not or slightly secund; 80-100 spikelets/infl; leaves and sheaths minutely scabrous; leaves inrolled; lemma ciliate on margins, papillose. Phenology: Flowers & Fruits.
