Shallow sandy soil, slope level. Sagebrush-grass habitat. Associated plants A. tridentata, Ag. daystachyium. Found on ant slopes and rare in abundance. Usual size of plant 0-8 cm. Flowering 7/20. Phenology: Fertile.
