Montana: Gallatin County: Gallatin Forest; Lonesome Hurts Cove; south shore Hebgen. Elev. 6500 ft.
Slope: south. Soil: moist loam at water edge. Type: open alpine meadow. Use: little. Distribution: In open. Abundance: common. Forage value: Fair of C&H. In Vascular Plants of the Pacific Northwest, it says that C. scribneri is now another name for C. canadensis. Phenology: Fertile.
