Idaho: Valley County: Rain Pk, Payette National Forest, on border of McCall and Krassel Ranger Districts. Six air mi to the E and 12 air mi to the N of McCall, Idaho. Fourteen mi N on Warren Wagon Rd, then 6 mi E on FS Rd 432, then 2 mi S along FS Tr 109 and 2 mi off trail to Rain Pk. Collected from summit (8755 ft), while spiraling down to 8255 ft.¶ Elev. 8255-8755 ft.

High rocky, granite peak with a large N aspect cliff and scree field. Patches of snow on N aspect. Highest peak in Crestline Ridge system NE of McCall, Idaho.¶N bowl dominated by Abies lasiocarpa, Saxifraga sp., and Phyllodoce glanduliflora.¶E and SW bowls dominated by Picea engelmannii, Pinus albicaulis, Abies lasiocarpa, Poa secunda, Juncus sp., Vaccinium scoparium, and Phlox sp.¶¶ Dark purple flowers.
