Near base of north-facing basalt cliff in wet crevices, with Anthriscus caucalis and Bromus tectorum. Near Erythranthe guttata but not in same crevices. Plants glandular hairy, viscid. Stems and petioles with some long, multi-cellular hairs. Persistant flap-like appendages at base of stem. Flowers strongly bilabiate, yellow with red dots on palette, 13-17mm long. Calyx 7mm long, teeth 1mm, with 2 small teeth adjacent to each major lobe. Leaves palmately veined, dentate, broadly ovate and cordate. Phenology: Flowers and Fruits.
