Washington: Whatcom County: Along bike trail on north side of Squalicum Creek Park, 90 meters east of Firwood Avenue, Bellingham. Elev. 3 m.

Weedy area along trail, with Schedonorus arundinaceus and Tanacerum vulgare; lightly shaded by Populus trichocarpa. Calyx 4-lobed, lobes lanceolate; corolla dull purplish-pink with darker tube, upper 2 petals fused to tip, forming a galea-like hood over the 4 stamens; lower 3 petals spreading out and down; capsule flattened, pubescent; plants annual with subopposite leaves; weedy here, forming large patches on trailside and adjacent cleared area.
