On limestone. With Draba oreibata, D. densifolia, D. lonchocarpa, D. paysonii, Zygadenus elegans, Arenaria rossii var. apetela, Lesquerella carinata, Lloydia serotina. Plts perennial with 1-several stems; plt up to 1 dm. Bracts dark purple, divided into 3 linear segs; calyx purple with white base and adaxial surface, divided unequally with back cleft lower than front (8 mm in back, 5 mm in front); total length of calyx ca 15 mm, the secondary lobes appearing as 2 small teeth, each ca 1 mm long. Corolla ca 15-17 mm, the galea ca 4 mm; the tube white, galea pink at base, white above, the style only tardily exserted; lower lip ca equal the galea, dark green below, the teeth light pink. Fls puberulent. Common. Phenology: Flowers.
