Mesic cedar duff in shaded understory of old growth Thuja plicata forest near margin of brushy lake shore, with low cover of Tiarella trifoliata, Aralia nudicaulis, Viola glabella, Claytonia cordifolia, Athyrium felix-femina. Plants deep grass-green, common stalk green; about 50 plants seen, patchily distributed in cedar duff; growing with B. pedunculosum. Silica taken. Phenology: Spores.
