Capsules terete, 8-ribbed; petals magenta, nearly all with carmine spot (some not spotted) ring of hairs circa 1/4 of way up hypanthium, Stigma lobes mostly 3-4 mm. long but some only 2 mm. long, anthers lavender, somewhat yellowish toward apex. Phenology: Flowers.
