Disused flowerbed; in bare topsoil with weeds, not yet prepared for planting. Several plants; spontaneous; not seen planted anywhere; perhaps a weed, less likely a waif from other plantings; leaf margins crisped, inflorescence nodding in bud, stigmas > anthers, petals 15 mm; native to South America; identity was suggested by Warren Wagner; native to South America; probably cultivar “snowflakes”.
