Collected from 15 cm water with soft mucky substrate. Petals light pink, leaves purplish; growing with Nymphaea odorata, but not as numerous; of cultivated origin but naturalized here.

Leaf abaxial surface purple; petals pink, drying purple; flowers raised above water level, not exactly floating; abundant in large patches among white-flowered Nymphaea; binomial for a complex assemblage of multiple hybrids involving N. alba, N. mexicana, N. odorata s.l. and possibly still others; Ref: E.
