Sidalcea campestris Greene × Sidalcea hirtipes Hitchc. ?
Annotated 14 Mar 2012. Sources: H&C. Remarks: The original determination of S. hirtipes is not quite accurate due to the long inflorescence >15 cm and lightly veined carpels. Steve Hill, FNA author for Sidalcea, suggests that it is a hybrid between S. hirtipes and S. campestris.

In heavy soil, rhizomatous (shortly). Plants abundant, in large clumps, flowers about color of S. Cusickii, mature carpels prominently pitted, about 4 millimeters long, beak about 0.75 millimeter long, stamens in 2 series of phalanges. Phenology: Flowers.
