Oregon: Jackson County: Sams Valley, north end in foothills, east of Ramsey Road. Hiked in about 1/2 mile to site.
foothills. Growing in chaparral with Ceanothus cuneatus and Arctostaphylos viscida. 6-8' tall. Plants only known from this location; about 25 plants, the largest nearly a foot in diameter at base. **First Report for Oregon ** FC. Phenology: flowering.
