Stabilized gravel bar with mud accretions, at the vegetated high point with abundant Sagina procumbens, some Lythrum portula and Anagallis minima. Forming little mats in sandy mud; 200+ inconspicuous plants with occasional purple flowers evident.

Fine gravelly pathway, with Plantago lanceolata, Trifolium dubium, Epilobium obscurum. Abundant mat-forming herb with strong creme de menthe fragrance; weedy; into display beds on sloping stoney soil.

Weed in herb garden. Also in disturbed wet boggy clearing by stream, gravel garden pathways, weed in perennial flower beds. Flowers few and inconspicuous; small and purple; plants forming green mats with strong creme de menthe fragrance when crushed; not planted according to owner, many were being weeded out at this time, but persisting.
