In mossy or grassy openings in forest near coast, with Pseudotsuga, Arbutus, Quercus garryana, Thuja, Anthoxanthum, Holcus, Luzula parviflora, L. comosa var. laxa, L. subsessilis, L. macrantha. Rhizomatous, occasional. Phenology: Fruits.
