In mowed wet ditch, saturated soil, full sun, with Sphagnum, Blechnum, Carex obnupta, Juncus falcatus, J. hesperius, Hypericum anagalloides, Gentiana sceptrum, Thuja. Cespitose, evergreen, dark green foliage nearly prostrate, locally common weed. Phenology: Fertile.

Moist shallow boggy ditch next to cedar-spruce forest. Growing with Hypericum anagalloides, Gentiana sceptrum, Blecnum spicant. Densely clumped perennial with compact aggregation of basal leaves lying low to the ground forming a circular tuft. Well established, 66 plants counted over a 200 m stretch, one plant seen on the opposite north side ditch. native to Europe. First collection from BC. Phenology: Fertile.
