Moist, silty soil on edge of drainage ditch beneath mature Populus trichocarpa trees, with Crataegus monogyna and Hedera hibernica. Seeds fleshy, bright red, persisting on dried flowering stem through winter; leaves dark green, evergreen; single clump near edge of ditch, adventive. Photographed. Phenology: Fruits.
