British Columbia: Christina Lake, south shore, west boundary of Christina L. Provincial Park, about 18 km due east of Grand Forks. Elev. 1450'

Washed up on receded sandy lake shore by floating dock. Aquatic perennial with tape-like leaves arising from clumps at ends of horizontal rhizome, fruit capsules with spiral peduncles. Frequent on sandy bottom at SE end of lake in about 1m of clear still water. Introduced from Europe. Originally labeled V. americana; annotated to V. spiralis by Frank Lomer 10 May, 2008.
