East side of Mission Creek near backyard of private residence; deciduous wooded strip, in heavy shade. Appears to be the cultivar ‘Plena’ with double flowers (petals mostly 10-15) - Frank Lomer; “Certainly introduced, probably many years ago” - George Scotter.
