chaparral mosaic consisting mostly of A. patula and at lower elevations A. viscida. Plants scarce, to 1 m. tall; according to Phil Wells, taxon is tetraploid (n=26) arising from cross of A. patula and A. viscida, both (n=13) [pers. conv. 10-5-2004]. Fruit and leaves are larger than in both parent species. Phenology: flowers & fruits.
