Grassy roadside above water-filled ditch next to peaty clearing bordered by Rubus allegheniensis, Spiraea douglasii, Sambucus racemosa, growing with Poa pratensis, Phalaris arundinacea, Anthoxanthum odoratum, Ranunculus repens. Somewhat thick patch of narrow leaves blending in with the vegetation at the water margin, extending along a 20 meter strip; only a few flowering and fruiting stalks noted; plants trimmed by roadside cutting.
