Rare in full sun, shallow water and clay banks of ditch in Lackamas Prairie, with parents, Carex pellita, C. pachystachya, C. leporina, Phalaris, Torreyochloa, Ludwigia palustris. Rhizomatous; spikes dangle; base fibrous, narrow & without cross-sepate like C. obnupta, infl like C. aquatilis variety dives. Phenology: Fruits.
