Oregon: Josephine County: Hwy 199 to O'Brien, to Lone Mtn. Rd., to primitive access rd., just S of Rock Creek Bridge, turn right and continue to FS Rock Quarry - park. Trail up Rock Creek, to confluence, take right fork.
Compare SOC23858, 23860. 2 cypresses, both severely undermined, leaning into creek. The larger 6.75' cir, 24.3" diam, 60' tall. Both are branch-free for 35', top 20' of each green w/ heavy cone set, below are defoliated branches w/ some closed cones. Did not locate any other trees in this area. Phenology: cones.
