Sandy ridge top above highway, below residential homes, in sand blowout. Halfway between white fence and highway; growing with Fragaria virginiana, Campanula rotundifolia, Rosa acicularis, Pinus contorta saplings, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi, Carex tonsa, Grindelia squarrosa. Four main cushion clumps and scattered offset balls, ca. 100 compact leafy balls altogether in 2 x 2 m patch; garden escape (hens and chicks); appearing native in shifting sand; not flowering; subspecies not determined.
