On dry rocky moderate southwest aspect, sun or partial shade, with Pinus ponderosa, Pseudotsuga, Holodiscus, Lupinus, Silene, Festuca, Phlox speciosa. Cream-white petals, anthers lemon yellow, young leaves and inflorescence glaucous, common. Type locality. Phenology: Flowers & Fruits.
