Disturbed shaded margin of wooded strip along railroad access road, with Pinus contorta, Picea glauca, Populus tremuloides, Spiraea lucida. Stem leaves alternate; pale pink flower buds; carpels counted, 2, 3, 4 and 5 on same plant; anthers purple, only some with evident pollen; ca. 30 stems; apparently a garden origin hybrid because it seems partially fertile and leaves not all opposite.
