Full sun, grassy meadows, vicinity of old homestead marked by a few relic woody ornamentals. Cespitose, bulbs ovoid, 4.5 × 3.5 centimeters, leaves shiny fruit 3-lobed, oblanceolate, 3.5 × 2.2 centimeters; widely scattered and sparingly naturalized.¶See flowering collection by Rod Gilbert 12 October 2017.
