Arabis olympica Piper

SW facing argillite scree meadow, with: Viola adunca, Phlox diffusa, Lomatium martindalei. Plants are ~ 2 dm (+) tall, perennial with tap root and at least two stems from same root, pedicels and siliques spread upwards. Leaves: stem leaves (4 - 5) are alternate and weekly clasping; basal leaves are in rosettes, their lower surface glabrous except near tips and on sides. Flowers/Seeds: petals (4) white, 6 - 7 mm long; sepals ~ 3.8 mm long, glandular, purple tipped, top hooded shape, white at edges; siliques 1 - 1.2 mm wide; seeds ~1.3 mm long, terminal wing is ~0.2 mm wide. Plants scattered in sloping scree meadow. Specimen collected July 15, 2020 and pressed. However, for ID purposes, we planted a portion of the specimen, and grew it until seeds were well developed (September 10, 2020). Thus, this specimen sheet has flowers from the first pressing, and additionally a plant with seeds from the later portion. Phenology: Fertile.
