Vegetated, southwest facing talus slope, with Alnus viridis, Pteridium aquilinum, Rubus spectabilis, Sorbus stichensis. Leaves deep green, weakly double-serrate with very shallow lobing; shrubs 3-4 meters tall, frequent in open areas along trail, growing with both ssp. fruticosa and ssp. sinuata. Phenology: Fruits.
