On an exposed tannish, ashy-clay slope, associated with Artemisia, Eriogonum novonudum, and Bromus. Plants annual, up to 6.5 decimeters high; rays yellow, 8-13. N=20 (counted by S. Tomb). Phenology: Flowers. Isotype: Senecio barbarae T.M. Barkley.
