Open steep serpentine-peridotite slopes with scattered P. Jeffreyi, P. Monticola and Douglas fir (stunted) dense scrub of Quercus vaccinifolia, Arctostaophylos nevadensis. Stellate pubescence variable. Phenology: Flowers.
