Eupatorium perfoliatum L.Annotated by Frank T. Callahan, 6 Mar 2014.
Oregon: Josephine County: Grants Pass.
Moist ground. Boneset; 2 to 5 ft. herb; White heads of blossoms in July and August; Probably a garden escape from the east where every country attic held this herb dried. It was considered an effective remedy for coughs and colds, but to swallow the concoction brewed from it, was far worse than the illness. Phenology: flowering.
