Soil dump in large landfill clearing 1.2 km due northwest of Burnaby Lake. At edge of graded area with weeds. Single plant; no apparent ray flowers; seems to be slightly deformed in inflorescence, perhaps by a fungal infection.

Graded new sidewalk strip of former agricultural land being bulldozed for development, growing with Oxalis, Persicaria, Sisymbrium, Echinochloa. Healthy, fresh-green, attractive clump of few stems with perennial root base and golden-yellow ray flowers; garden escape arising from topsoil fill.
