Idaho: Gem County: Northwest of Payette River on rib [ridge] across from Hwy 52, northeast of Emmet. From Hwy 16, head north on S. Washington Ave for 3.3 miles. Take Hwy 52 east for 3.7 miles and pull of Hwy. Site will be on northwest side of Hwy 52 atop a hillside with a view of the dam; driving past dam is too far. Elev. 2500-2600 ft.

Flat. On N facing slope. In old disturbed causeway over ridge on flat ground. Associates: Balsamhoriza sagittata, Artemisia tridentata, Celtis reticulata. Consistent leaf umbellature and aspect. Variable leaf sizes despite same phenologies: "Type A" for MS 101 is dominant in the area with an intermediate leaf size. Phenology: Flowers and Fruits.
