In moist gravel (derived from metamorphics) throughout meadow. with Ranunculus, Taraxacum, Trifolium, Luzula, Carex, Polygonum bistortoides, Potentilla gracilis, Mertensia campanulata. Abundant. fls white to deep pink. Ovary nearly crestless - only with low-rounded processes; bulbs symmetrical; leaves slightly channeled, not secile shaped; scapes only slightly flattened toward top - never clear to base. Phenology: Fertile.
