At least 50% of trees are dead. Live trees are mostly PIEN with some PICo and subalpine firs. All trees <15" diameter, most are <10". Gentle slope with high low shrub and forb cover. Ground is soft, damp with deep needle duff. Lots of interesting Cladonia, and Peltigera on the ground. No nitrophytes on any woody substrates observed on plot or on walk from trailhead. Plagla seems on its way out, perhaps too dry here. Bryfre dominant lichen on all trees, Letvul, and Hypocc. Found Hypims, many other Hypos. Alesar spindle-like, may be sign of low humidity. Pleasant plot to work around. Moose droppings on plot and on walk in.
