Washington: Chelan County: Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest: Chelan Ranger District: Lake Chelan-Sawtooth Wilderness: Btwn Meadow Ck & Cascade Ck, ~1/4 distance from Meadow & 3/4 distance from Cascade, above lake ~400' elev & 0.12 mi. Small shelf above lake- bounded by rock cliffs on upper & lower sides. Elev. 1524 ft.

OG- mature PSME/PIPO forest burned in Rex fire- appeared only to have burned the understory. Nearly all trees alive but fire singed bark 10-40 ft high on boles. On medium sloping bench above Lk Chelan. Understory dom by grasses. Three ACMA on plot escaped fire & all had light nitrophyte cover. A few trees in 40" range (3), most trees between 15-30" db. A count of a sawn 37" dbh log on the trail yielded 200 rings (years). Slope 45%. Aspect 230°. Abundance code: 4-2; rhizines, not spores; apothecia. Substrate: ACMA3 br. Phenology: apothecia.
