Mature PIPO stand. Very open with CEVE, PUTR, and heat-killed Mt. Mahogany. One very big JUOC on plot.Recent fire went through (which is what killed the Mt. Mahogany). However, many lichens survived. Still no mistletoe. There are a lot of grass species growing, Thick layer of pine needles on floor. Greatest lichen diversity on dead Mtn. Mahogany incliding several Bryoria and Melanelia sp., Cancol, Xanthoria (just 1 individual), Hypims, Parsul, and Usnea. Only Letvul, Letcol, and Cetmer on PIPO. Some snags and logs or PIPO from the fire but most trees survived. Ceanothus apparently has come in since the fire. Many Letvul dusky looking, as if they had been partially heat-damaged. Abundance code: 1; near drainage; foveolate, fibrils, axis ~30%. Spot Tests: UV-, P+O, K+O; TLC: usnic, salazinic.
