Habitat: Coniferous forest/hardwood. Rinodina has white rim apothecia. Scoliciosporum has black apothecia. Mostly colletion is Rinodina. From the end of the white River F.S. rd. 6400 take the panther creek trail # 1522 down the white river to the Mt. Dav trail. Found on the bark of Big Leaf Maple above the trail. Small stand of Big Leaf Maple. Location should be checked for. Mildred Arnot Collection L824. Mostly Scoliciosporum Chlorococcum with some Rinodina hallii. Substrate: Big Leaf Maple bark. Substrate: corticolous.
