Washington: King County: Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, Old Cascade Highway area Forest Service Road 6099. From Highway 2 at Scenic take old highway north for 1.5 miles to end of road. Cross Tye River on foot bridge. Walked old road.

On a large cottonwood on bark, tree 30 feet to right of old road. Slide Alder area. Substrate: bark cottonwood tree. Apothecia 1.5 millimeters, stalk and head dark red, spores 1 septate 10x5, 7x4, 8x4, spores spirally striate. See EB #L5170A and L5170B same collection. Card for A. K makes head green. Substrate: corticolous. Phenology: apothecia.
